Abstract:

An increasing number of cities are setting and achieving targets to reduce or eliminate carbon emissions. In this talk, Professor Song will demonstrate several research projects to associate buildings and transportation with carbon emission in cities. She will share several cases on how urban planning can be more prepared to respond to these associations with new planning steps and techniques. Finally, She will discuss policy tools that can be adopted for carbon reduction and their potential contributions toward carbon neutral.
